YouTube added the videos.batchGetStats method to the Data API to retrieve lists of video statistics. The method costs 1 quota unit in its own granular quota bucket with a default daily quota of 10,000 units.
Creators must disclose AI use in videos with new label placement
YouTube is moving AI disclosure labels to more prominent positions below video players and as Shorts overlays, and introducing automatic detection to label photorealistic AI content creators do not manually disclose. The changes take effect in May 2026.

YouTube auto dubbing translates and dubs video audio into 27 languages automatically, with eight languages offering Expressive Speech for more natural sound. As of December 2025, over 6 million viewers watch 10 or more minutes of auto-dubbed content daily.
